If you are looking for a precise and high-performing bulb for your directional lighting needs, then an MR light bulb may be the perfect choice for you. MR bulbs, or multifaceted reflector bulbs, utilize several built-in reflectors to direct light at a precise angle. Originally designed for use in slide projectors, they are now used in a multitude of industries and applications including medical endoscopes, stage lighting, bicycle lighting and more.
Multifaceted reflector bulbs (or MR bulbs for short) are designed with built-in pressed-glass reflectors that allow them to direct light at a precise angle. This makes them ideal for applications where directional lighting is of the utmost importance. Since MR bulbs were originally designed for slide projectors, they have a smaller base than standard incandescent reflectors, which makes them the bulb of choice for compact directional lighting applications such as bike lighting and modern projector lighting. Today's MR lamps are available in 10- to 75-watt power ratings (150-800 lumens).
This device is intended for use on Class 2 circuits only. Use only on low voltage circuits with output ranges identified in specifications. These lamps may be dimmed using analog dimmers and magnetic transformers. May not be compatible with all dimmers and/or transformers and should be tested in application for compatibility prior to full installations on circuits using such devices. Not for use on timing devices, photo sensors or occupancy sensors.
